Oh, I'm so sorry. Anyone who has lost a beloved pet knows just how devastating it can be. We have two dogs that are a year apart and we dread the day our fur children start their decline. So why do we allow them into our lives to start with? Because we love them and they are family. Praying for clarity as you decide the best course of action for Beso.

Thank you Cara! Beso stabilized enough with the prednisone med that we’re leaving him in the care of my brother & petsitter when we depart. He is still blind and losing weight but seems less depressed, and he seems relatively content when he’s with the other dogs. I’m cautiously optimistic he’ll still be with us when we return in December.
Sarah, so sorry to hear this. We know from our own experience that it’s so true that their unconditional love makes this even harder. Our hearts go out to you in this difficult time.

So sorry to read this. I totally get that our animals become our children when we are emptynesters. I hope the best decision will show itself soon.
I’m so sorry, Sarah. A pet’s life is always too short even in the best of circumstances, but they give us so much in the short time they’re with us.
