Thank you so much for doing this profile. Yitka is definitely a local legend here in the PNW and also a great writer. Thanks to her I got to know about your Substack too and I’ve been subscribed to the newsletter for a while. Yall are awesome!!
Great interview Sarah ! Really appreciate her training style as I never feel like I am running "enough" miles. I also recently discovered Yitka's substack and really enjoy it. And so excited for Katie Arnold next week!!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing. I love learning the details of how other people with full time jobs and families fit in their training. My son is grown now but I was a single mom training for ultras for many years and remember all the juggling of schedules of shift work and babysitting to fit my runs in. This is my first year signing up for an ultra in 5 years and I have a bit of sticker shock when I see the cost of entry fees these days, that is another huge barrier to people participating in the sport. I will be cheering on Yitka this year and crossing my fingers for you Sarah in the next lottery
Back in my PNW days, Yitka published a couple of my blog posts in Trail running mag online, and I believe she was also responsible for me being a shoe tester for a couple of years - thank you! As a working mom on a budget, free shoes were a hit. I'm glad you get to run Hardrock, girl, well deserved, and your CC100 results are super impressive - especially considering the low mileage training!

What an exceptional achievement... some days I don't even feel like getting out of bed and I'm child-free and working a desk-bound 9-5!!
Thanks for the intro to Yitka! I love moms who run and write :)
