Love love love the write up and I know this is off topic, but in the first picture, the snow shows footprints slightly pointing outwards. I noticed this in my own running recently and tried to straighten my feet more, but then felt it in my knees. Today I ran “normal” and felt great again……so, ignore the snow prints? 😃

thank you! I run toed-out. I have tried to correct it, but it's my natural form. Race photos show that when I'm tired, my back foot on the back stride is flung out at a 45 degree angle. A good way to work on this is when you're running down a road with a stripe, try to work on visualizing your feet landing parallel to the stripe, and be mindful of running with your hips squared and core engaged. It's hard to correct natural form however. Everyone always ask me if I do ballet because I am turned-out like a ballerina. Oh, well, there are worse things!

If THE Sarah Lavender Smith does it, I’m in good company and won’t try to fix it 😃 Do you get blisters on the medial side of either foot? Training (hopefully….but haven’t registered) for my first 100 and didn’t know if I should attempt to correct it or “prepare” (whatever that means 😆) for turned out toes and potential blisters.
